The platform is robust, feature-rich, and benefits from the underlying Microsoft ecosystem which is both its greatest strength and its most consistent pain point. When issues arise, Protech frequently attributes them to Microsoft dependencies, making resolution slow, opaque, and difficult to escalate effectively.

The system is also highly complex. In practice, it is not a turnkey solution. Due to minimal documentation from Protech, organizations without internal institutional knowledge (particularly from the original UX/MX implementation) face a steep operational gap.

As a result, ongoing system optimization typically requires dedicated technical expertise, either through an in-house developer or external consultant, to build and maintain advanced workflows and web components. Compounding this, Protech appears to have limited internal capacity to support or execute these enhancements in a timely manner.
