We were a beta testing customer for Net Forum when they created their online solution and have generally had a good experience with the product over the past several years. Since Abila has purchased them, the ability to contact a live person with a question or problem has basically disappeared. The system has been reliable in terms of uptime but many of our basic functions seem to be harder than they should in this day and age. The product still does not support native Mac platforms and we recently installed Parallels on one of our Mac's for the sole purpose of using Internet Explorer as our browser. This did make it much easier to run some of our year-ending processes. The product has been reasonably well supported over the years and improvements are made on a regular basis. Generally speaking, the improvements are not so radical that they require us to re-learn the system. Early on, our suggestions often turned into updates in the next release but as mentioned before the ability to actually interact with a real person has vanished. I think this AMS is powerful and worth reviewing but as a small association we would like to have something that is more flexible and easier for us to adapt. We continue to be disappointed with the complexity of allowing our members to access their information and to pay online - the capability exists but it requires individual members to log in. We have found this to be a significant barrier for our members, especially when they may only want to do online registration once or twice each year. So, a conditional recommendation if the product fits the way you work and if your staff is advanced in their knowledge of using such systems and with technology in general.
