Strong Reservations with Alliance by Protech
We have been on Protech for several years and found that over time the system becomes more difficult to customize and that response times for problems are lengthy. We have been told that Protech will no longer support customizations and through our recent upgrade, they continually blamed partner vendor for lack of basic functionality. When working with customer support, instead of fixing issues, we are provided work arounds that cause confusion and addtional work for the end user. The cost of system maintenance, service and integration has become an inhibiting factor to upgrading technology and has caused hesitation in utilization of additional Protech features that would help our association grow. I would not recommend Protech to small and/or medium organizations without onsite technical support as serious functionality issues take considerable time to resolve through their support. The system also does not allow for full control over processes like invoicing which can cause challenges in an ever changing association environment. Integration with other platforms is costly. I would certainly think twice and ask many questions about costs associated with upgrades, maintenance and intergration prior to giving Protech a second look. We will be moving away as soon as we are able!
