WeÕre currently on iMIS 15.2 and looking to upgrade to version 20. After seeing demonstrations itÕs nice to see theyÕve made improvements, but it still seems like theyÕre playing catch up with the rest of the field. RISE looks like a nice feature but other solutions have been doing that already. Also, itÕs disappointing to see features available with other solutions that iMIS still cannot do. ItÕs seems like with version 20 they tried to focus and offer a multitude of modules versus improving upon the ones that they currently have. Customer Service: While ASIÕs customer support is included with your licensing, it can be frustrating at times to get answers from them. Their customer support is halfway across the world and trying to get a timely response can be frustrating. Also, sometimes itÕs easier to speak with someone over the phone rather than just via an email ticket. While our iMIS reseller charges us for support, they are more responsive than ASI and thatÕs why I rated this 4 stars. Ease of Use: While some parts, such as the customer module, are easy to use there are others that need to see a definite improvement. The reporting tool (IQA) isnÕt user-friendly and you definitely need to have some training. From what we found, some joins (more specifically left joins) donÕt work and you need to have someone build a view in the SQL database in order for reports to work the way you want it to. Reliability: It works as intended once you know the limitations of the different features and how they are intended to work. Customization: Creating custom user defined tables and options are pretty easy once youÕve done it once. Currently, weÕre trying to explore are different membership dues models and one of the things that iMIS still lacks is the ability to implement month-to-month or automated billing.
