As many know, Affiniscape was purchased by Your Membership, thus prompting hundreds of Associations to consider whether to move to YM or seek a different solution. We've been deeply engaged in that search, looking at Member Clicks, Member Suite, Avectra, IMIS, Weblink, Timberlake and more. What we've learned is that we had a pretty solid arrangement with Affiniscape - a fairly advanced product in the lower end of the price structure and that comparable products are rare. We will not be switching to YM for a couple of major reasons. The most significant is has to do with challenges in creating invoices -- if you do a lot of sponsorships and advertising and want to create invoices for those purchases, YM is a challenge. Additionally, when creating invoices or completing transactions, YM doesn't allow for a drop down menu with GL codes. Thus you have to know your chart of accounts and manually type in the GL codes when creating an invoice, for example. Yet another example of a tool we used but will lose is the ability for an address change to flow through to the children of the parent (and Affiniscape actually allowed us to choose for which children the address changed).
