The AMS landscape is evolving rapidly. With the ever-changing nature of technology, older comments can sometimes provide a skewed view to the person seeking feedback. Archived reviews are more than 60 months old, and aren't counted towards the average five star ratings or percent recommended.
123 is adding new faces to their pages for the members which makes it updated and nice on the eye; however, it has not made registration for our events the same. When we link to register for events, it takes me back to a very dated looking screen. They provide training free to use their program which are on a scheduled program.
Our association has used 123signup for its academic association membership management for almost 10 years now. We use it primarily to update member contact information and process payments for association fees. Although we have access to the event management software, that rarely gets used as we always tend to rely on alternative sources for the actual conferences. 123signup has SUPERB customer service - they always get back to us immediately, service any problems immediately, and suggest alternative options to troubleshoot any issues.
123 signup seems reminds me of the consultant that hit their stride in 1985. It works, but is missing the vision that is needed to really connect with tech savvy users. The event registration process is extremely clunky, which is a problem in the age of Eventbright. The membership side seems to be an "oh yeah, we do that too ... somewhere in here." As a purely transactional database, it's great, but moving beyond that, not so much.
